Imagine yourself in their shoes.. or tank for that matter.

While I was grocery shopping this past week, I found myself in the wandering into the pet aisle.  Weird thing is I don’t even own a pet. I've always wanted a cat or a dog of my own, but my apartment complex doesn't allow for one.

As I’m walking by all the toys and cute clothing for my imagery dog I come face to face with about ten tanks containing a variety of different fish. Right then I knew I was going to be leaving with one.

Once I’m being checked-out I realized I didn't get what I came there for because I was so interested in the new fish I got. I decided what ever I need could wait, I had to get Jaws in his tank fast.

Now you make think how can a boring old goldfish entertain me while I’m bored? Well, here’s the answer: Imagine yourself in their shoes… or tank for that matter.
It’s crazy to think. Can you picture yourself alone swimming in a tank for of water for your entire life?

This made me start to feel sorry for Jaws (he suits his name well) so I went back to the store and bought another fish named Fred. I know soon I will probably own an aquarium of fish.

This is a very inexpensive way to keep yourself from being bored. I spent $25 dollars all together.

Fish: .75 cent - $3.00
Tank: $5- $15 (depending on size)
Food: $5
Things for inside tank: $10

It can keep you from being bored because you have to remember to feed them every day and clean their tank once a week.

Jaws and Fred aren't as interactive as a dog or cat would be but, they still make for interesting pets. I really enjoying having them.

Boredom.. IT SUCKS.

Being bored is one thing but, being broke and bored is another. I know I am not the only one who is familiar with this unpleasant experience, which is why I'm here to help you.  I am currently a senior at Penn State and I have experienced this awful phenomenon more times then none. Between paying tuition and book fees to paying rent for my first apartment I've learned I can't frivolously spend money anymore. I've come up with many different ways to pass the time and enjoy myself with spending little to no money.

One of the best ways I have found to rid of boredom without spending money is to get a job.YES, making money will minimized the time you spend counting the little specks on your ceiling tile. This may not pertain to some of you who are out of school and already working but, for people like me who's living is dedicated to going to classes, LISTEN UP. I have never had an outside job while attending classes which worked for me because I didn't have the obligations that I have now (like paying rent and bills -_-). I also had the option of walking down the hall to my friends' rooms to pass the time. Now that I live off campus I found that I am encountering boredom more often. I applied for two jobs one on campus and one off campus. If I get the jobs I will not only fill my time between classes but also my time on days I don't have class (Thursdays, weekends, etc.).  Because I will be attending classes and working I won't have much time to spend the money I earn, causing me to save money for something like a new car!

This might may be the most enjoyable way to spent your time but you'll realize you'll be bored less and it will allow you to gain more experience that you could possibly use in the future.

Come back to see the other tricks I have up my sleeve of concurring boredom on a budget. You might just find yourself being the proud owner of a goldfish.
